Xaloc, it must be a sign
History Page 1...

Whilst I was there. I saw a dream horse. He was very big for his age and very trusting and friendly. He was in a ring playing with another colt of the same age. The perfect Andalusian horse, a horse fit for a king. He seemed to be exactly what I was looking for.

I will not go through the detail of everything that happened between the time that I first saw him 10 days or so ago and as I sit and type with him, already mine, waiting for me at Ximo’s stables. Suffice it to say that he is the best horse that Yeguada la Veleta has ever produced and they really did not want to sell him. The sadness of making babies is that you cannot keep them all always and for ever.

The name that my dream horse was given when he was born two and a half years ago is Xaloc.

The circle is complete. There is an awesome clarity to the notion that this wonderful creature was made for me before he or I ever knew that we needed each other.  Lest you feel that the name is common, I must tell you  that I have never known of another animal with this name except the wonderful dog and the dream horse and  of course the wind that blows towards the sea.
